Welcome to the Manchester Badminton League website.
Our aim is to provide and promote competitive badminton for adults on the League principles for clubs in Manchester, and to arrange matches, tournaments and other events for our member clubs.
If you are new to the area and want to find out about joining one of our clubs go to the Clubs page here. This page has a list of the current League Clubs, where they play, and who to contact should you require further information. Please visit the website of the club you are interested in via the clubs page, for full contact details. If you are enquiring about badminton for Juniors please contact your nearest sports centre in the first place, or the local authority sports organisers in your area e.g. Trafford Leisure.
We have vacancies if your club would like to join our League, either the Main League or Open Division.

MARJORIE CONSTERDINE TOURNAMENT Wednesday 30 April - 7:30pm Salford City Academy M30 7PQ The tournament is contended by teams made up of the better players from each division of the main league. If a team is performing well in the division (look at the Games/Match not overall points) it is likely that players will be chosen from that team. Conditions for players to be eligible for competing in the tournament can be found in the handbook. Any teams that have matches on or around the 30th April may wish to rearrange so that players could be available for the MC tournament.

Congratulations to Medlock and Nomads 1, winners of the Slann Cup and Plate respectively. The Cup was closely fought for with lots of games going to the wire but Medlock came out on top by 5 and a half points over Roe Green. In the Plate Disley put up a good show but lost out to Nomads 1 by 53 and a half points. Please see the Slann Cup tab for full details.

We have new dates and venue for the Slann Cup and Marjorie Conterdine Tournament The finals of the Slann Cup and Plate will be held on Wednesday 19 February – 7:30pm - 10:30pm The Marjorie Consterdine Tournament will be held on Wednesday 30 April – 7:30pm - 11pm Salford City Academy, Peel Green M30 7PQ

We are almost ready for the new 2024-25 season. The divisional structures have been agreed and fixtures have been sent out to all club secretaries. An EGM and Fixtures Meeting will be held at The Training Room at Stretford Sports Village, Chester Centre, Great Stone Road, Stretford M32 0ZS commencing at 7:30pm prompt on Thursday 15th August. It is not too late to enter a team into the League. If you are interested, please drop Adrian, our League Secretary, a line.
